Communicating with our members is a top priority and the OEA has a variety of methods to help keep members informed on issues that effect classrooms, teachers, support professionals and students.

The Education Focus – which has been recognized as the best newspaper among NEA affiliates of similar size - is the official magazine of the Oklahoma Education Association. Published nine times a year, The Focus covers events that affect our members and public education, personality features about members, and Association programs at the local, state and national level.

The OEA Insider - a weekly e-newsletter delivered via home emails every Monday morning – is another popular communication vehicle. The OEA Insider includes regional news and late-breaking news, as well as information on OEA/NEA programs and services. It also includes information on programs and opportunities from organizations not affiliated with OEA that members may find useful.

The OEA Legislative Update is another e-newsletter emailed to member homes. Published during the legislative session, this electronic publication covers the latest legislative and political campaign news relevant to education and OEA members.

OEA’s web site, okea.org, is a comprehensive site covering every aspect of the Association and public education either through articles or links. No matter where you are in the world, you can always get the latest information on the OEA.

The Insider

Every week, OEA members receive timely news via the Association’s premier electronic newsletter, The OEA Insider.

Local Association leaders, members of the OEA Communications Center and OEA regional teams provide relevant and important news for the e-newsletter, which is emailed directly to your home computers. News items for The OEA Insider may be submitted to Bruce Treadaway at btreadaway@okea.org.

OEA members who would like to receive this weekly e-newsletter can subscribe simply by completing the form below. Sign up today and begin receiving up to the minute information by next Monday.

In accordance with Association policy all electronic publications must be sent to a home email address.
