Elect your DA delegates
by March 15

Local delegates and alternates for the 2008 OEA Delegate Assembly should be elected and certified by March 15.

Delegate Assembly, the Association’s annual business meeting, is scheduled for April 25-26 at the Clarion Meridian Hotel and Convention Center in west Oklahoma City.

Hotel rates are $69, plus tax, for single or double occupancy. Call the Clarion at 405/942-8511 by April 11 to make hotel reservations.

The OEA Constitution and Bylaws require that delegates shall be elected by secret ballot vote with representation based on one delegate and one alternate for each six to 60 members of the local association. Representation shall also be on the basis of proportional representation by ethnic minorities and a local that provides all-inclusive membership shall be on the basis of proportional representation by education position.

The Delegate Assembly shall be the governing body of the OEA.
