The Oklahoma State Board of Education is expected to close all public schools through April 6.
OEA President Alicia Priest responds:
“Public schools make our communities a better place. To do that, we must listen to recommendations of disease control experts who recommended no gatherings of more than 50 people. The health and safety of our students is paramount. We appreciate State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister’s leadership on the issue, as Oklahomans come together at this time by staying apart and practicing social distancing.”
