Oklahoma Election Guide for February 11, 2020

Elections are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11, in 56 Oklahoma counties. Thirty school districts have bonds on the ballot. Here are the local elections by county.

Atoka County

  • Rock Creek Public Schools, one proposition. The $2.2 million bond will fund an addition at the 4th-6th building, including a library and rooms for 3- and 4-year-olds; a cafeteria addition, new windows, flooring, ceilings, and secure doors at 1st-3rd building; and other projects. 
  • Wapanucka Public Schools, one proposition. The $220,000 bond will pay for buses. 

Beckham County

  • Hammon Public Schools, one school board member.
  • Mangum Public Schools, one school board member.
  • Sentinel Public Schools, one school board member.

Blaine County

  • Canton Public Schools, one school board member.
  • Geary Public Schools, one proposition. The $36 million bond will fund an entirely new district campus. 
  • Fairview Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $970,000 for an elementary school roof, security equipment, books, technology, HVAC, band instruments, and other renovations. Proposition 2 will raise $330,000 for buses. 

Bryan County

  • Calera Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $630,000 for security equipment, new computers, HVAC, furniture, and a new administration building. Proposition 2 will raise $180,000 for buses. 
  • Rock Creek Public Schools, one proposition. The $2.2 million bond will fund an addition at the 4th-6th building, including a library and rooms for 3- and 4-year-olds; a cafeteria addition, new windows, flooring, ceilings, and secure doors at 1st-3rd building; and other projects. 
  • Durant, one city proposition. 

Caddo County

  • Carnegie Public Schools, one school board member

Canadian County

  • Geary Public Schools, one proposition. The $36 million bond will fund an entirely new district campus. 
  • Piedmont Public Schools, one proposition. The $35.7 million bond will fund new classrooms, gym, band room, safe rooms, secure entrances and other projects at the middle school. 
  • Yukon, one city council member. 

Carter County

  • Davis Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Velma-Alma Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $505,000 for renovations to the auditorium, remodeling of the field house showers and restrooms, and security equipment throughout the district and on buses. Proposition 2 will raise $260,000 for buses. 

Cleveland County

  • McLoud Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $2.9 million for a football field, track, a new high school cafeteria, and remodeling at the high school and junior high. Proposition 2 will raise $2.8 million for turf at the baseball and softball fields, a parking lot, remodeling the former intermediate school into a second and third grade center, and fencing. 
  • Moore Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Robin Hill Public School, one school board member. 
  • Norman, three city council members. 
  • Purcell, one city council member. 

Coal County

Comanche County

  • Chattanooga Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $365,000 for a gym room, a bus barn addition, a trailer, and mowing equipment. Proposition 2 will raise $385,000 for transportation. 
  • Empire Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $995,000 for an ag barn and covered walkways. Proposition 2 will raise $185,000 for transportation. 
  • Snyder Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $3.2 million for a community safe room and district-wide repairs. Proposition 2 will raise $450,000 for buses. 
  • Lawton, one city proposition. 

Cotton County

  • Chattanooga Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $365,000 for a gym room, a bus barn addition, a trailer, and mowing equipment. Proposition 2 will raise $385,000 for transportation. 
  • Empire Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $995,000 for an ag barn and covered walkways. Proposition 2 will raise $185,000 for transportation. 
  • Walters, two city council members.

Creek County

  • Jenks Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $11.6 million for expansion of the Freshman Academy, books, safety equipment and upgrades, technology, additional classrooms, maintenance repairs, instructional equipment, copiers, and other projects. Proposition 2 will raise $870,000 for buses. 
  • Jennings Public School, one proposition. The $1.5 million bond will fund a safe room addition to the gym. 

Custer County

  • Clinton Public Schools, one proposition. The $29.7 million bond includes remodeling, a safe room, and additional classrooms at Nance, Southwest, and Washington elementary schools. 
  • Hammon Public Schools, one school board member. 

Dewey County

  • Canton Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Sharon-Mutual Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Vici Public Schools, one school board member. 

Ellis County

  • Shattuck Public Schools, one proposition. The $245,000 bond will pay for two buses and an ag pickup. 
  • Vici Public Schools, one school board member. 

Garfield County

  • Waukomis Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $3.8 million for technology, band instruments, security equipment, windows, doors, speed bumps, covered walkways, parking lots, roads, flooring, plumbing, gym bleachers, an overhaul of the baseball and softball fields, a concession stand, and other projects throughout the district. Proposition 2 will raise $480,000 for buses. 

Garvin County

  • Alex Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Davis Public Schools, one school board member. 

Grady County

  • Middleberg Public School, one proposition. The $290,000 bond will pay for buses. 
  • Alex Public Schools, one school board member. 

Greer County

  • Mangum Public Schools, one school board member. 

Harmon County

  • Mangum Public Schools, one school board member. 

Harper County

Hughes County

  • Moss Public Schools, one proposition. The $950,000 bond will fund upgrades to security, HVAC, the elementary school roof, and the bus barn. 

Jackson County

  • Mangum Public Schools, one school board member. 

Johnston County

Kay County

  • Newkirk Public Schools, one proposition. The $275,000 bond will pay for buses. 
  • Tonkawa, one city proposition. 

Kingfisher County

  • Kingfisher Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Piedmont Public Schools, one proposition. The $35.8 million will fund a new athletic center, a middle school addition, and band equipment. 

Kiowa County

  • Carnegie Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Sentinel Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Snyder Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $3.2 million for a community safe room and district-wide repairs. Proposition 2 will raise $450,000 for buses. 

LeFlore County

  • Heavener Public Schools, one proposition. The $8.4 million bond will fund a multi-purpose building and a bus barn. 

Lincoln County

  • Luther Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • McLoud Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $2.9 million for a football field, track, a new high school cafeteria, and remodeling at the high school and junior high. Proposition 2 will raise $2.8 million for turf at the baseball and softball fields, a parking lot, remodeling the former intermediate school into a second and third grade center, and fencing. 
  • Wellston Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $700,000 for roofing, technology, remodels at the baseball and football fields, upgrades to the gym, HVAC, a district SUV, and upgrades to the elementary school playground. Proposition 2 will raise $160,000 for buses. 

Logan County

  • Luther Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Wellston Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $700,000 for roofing, technology, remodels at the baseball and football fields, upgrades to the gym, HVAC, a district SUV, and upgrades to the elementary school playground. Proposition 2 will raise $160,000 for buses. 

Love County

  • Thackerville Public Schools, one proposition. The $8.9 million bond will fund a new ag classroom, shop, livestock wash racks, baseball and softball fields, an ag truck and trailer, and security upgrades. 
  • Marietta, one city proposition. 

McClain County

  • Alex Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Purcell, one city council member. 

McCurtain County

  • Haworth Public Schools, one school board member. 

McIntosh County

  • Dewar Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $85,000 for security improvements, a watering system for the baseball and softball fields, and a district vehicle. Proposition 2 will raise $240,000 for buses. 

Major County

  • Canton Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Fairview Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $970,000 for an elementary school roof, security equipment, books, technology, HVAC, band instruments, and other renovations. Proposition 2 will raise $330,000 for buses. 

Mayes County

  • Spavinaw, one town trustee. 

Murray County

  • Davis Public Schools, one school board member. 

Muskogee County

  • Hilldale Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Muskogee, mayor and three city council members. 

Oklahoma County

  • Luther Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • McLoud Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $2.9 million for a football field, track, a new high school cafeteria, and remodeling at the high school and junior high. Proposition 2 will raise $2.8 million for turf at the baseball and softball fields, a parking lot, remodeling the former intermediate school into a second and third grade center, and fencing. 
  • Moore Public Schools, one school board member. 
  • Piedmont Public Schools, one proposition. The $35.7 million bond will fund new classrooms, gym, band room, safe rooms, secure entrances and other projects at the middle school. 
  • Putnam City Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $126.3 million for districtwide improvements in safety, accessibility, arts, athletics, technology, books, maintenance, and new construction for the Centennial Center, which will be used for the performing arts, professional development, and offices. Proposition 2 will raise $7.2 million for buses. 
  • Choctaw, two city propositions. 
  • Midwest City, two city council members. 
  • Warr Acres, one city council member. 

Okmulgee County

  • Dewar Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $85,000 for security improvements, a watering system for the baseball and softball fields, and a district vehicle. Proposition 2 will raise $240,000 for buses. 
  • Liberty Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $780,000 for asphalt resurfacing, fencing, security cameras, and an intercom and phone system. Proposition 2 will raise $320,000 for buses. 
  • Wilson Public Schools, two propositions. 

Osage County

  • Wynona Public Schools, one proposition. 
  • Pawhuska, one city council member. 

Pawnee County

  • Jennings Public School, one proposition. The $1.5 million bond will remodel the gym and add on a safe room. 
  • Cleveland, two city council members. 

Payne County

  • Cushing, one city council member. 
  • Stillwater, one city council member. 
  • One county question. 

Pittsburg County

  • McAlester, mayor and three city council members. 

Pottawatomie County

  • McLoud Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $2.9 million for a football field, track, a new high school cafeteria, and remodeling at the high school and junior high. Proposition 2 will raise $2.8 million for turf at the baseball and softball fields, a parking lot, remodeling the former intermediate school into a second and third grade center, and fencing. 
  • Northrock Creek Public Schools, one school board member. 

Roger Mills County

  • Hammon Public Schools, one school board member. 

Rogers County

  • Owasso Public Schools, one school board member and two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $9.8 million for improvements to the weight room, HVAC, flooring, the gym floor, technology, books, fine arts and athletic equipment and uniforms, and other district projects. Proposition 2 will raise $1.6 million for buses. 
  • Claremore, one city proposition. 
  • Oologah, one town proposition. 

Seminole County

  • Bowlegs Public Schools, one proposition. The $400,000 bond will fund upgrades to the security, electrical system, and technology systems throughout the district. 
  • Konawa, one city council member. 

Sequoyah County

  • Sallisaw, police chief. 

Stephens County

  • Empire Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $995,000 for an ag barn and covered walkways. Proposition 2 will raise $185,000 for transportation. 
  • Velma-Alma Public Schools, two propositions. Proposition 1 will raise $505,000 for renovations to the auditorium, remodeling of the field house showers and restrooms, and security equipment throughout the district and on buses. Proposition 2 will raise $260,000 for buses. 
  • Marlow, one city council member. 

Tillman County
