OEA members attending Together We’re Stronger Tuesdays lobby day this week will have a chance to learn about the latest education activity in Washington.
Victoria Bautista is scheduled to speak to educators and support staff at the OEA office Tuesday afternoon. Bautista is the education legislative assistant to Congresswoman Kendra Horn. Bautista has worked as an aide and policy advisor to Congresswoman Horn since 2018.
Bautista earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of Oklahoma, where she also earned her law degree. While in school, Bautista worked for the NAACP, the ACLU, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Library of Congress, and other organizations.
Bautista is the first guest speaker for OEA Together We’re Stronger Tuesdays. The OEA Legislative and Political Organizing team plans to host unique speakers each week to offer members insight into issues that affect education and our students.
If you would like to recommend a speaker, please contact Scout Anvar at firstname.lastname@example.org.
